John and Rebecca Harber of Harber Built, standing together in downtown Atoka, Tennessee

John & Rebecca Harber

Founded on
Faith & Honesty.

John Harber started Harber Built in November 2008 — at the depth of the housing crisis — because he believed that reliability, honest pricing, and a handshake you could trust would build a business that outlasted any market cycle. Seventeen years later, the principle still holds.

Before founding the company, John spent eight years at Savage Construction Co., moving from estimator to lead estimator to project manager on large custom homes and commercial projects. He learned the trade end-to-end: how to read plans, how to value-engineer without cutting corners, and how to build a reputation in a relationship-driven industry.

Today, Harber Built has 334 completed projects on record across West Tennessee and North Mississippi — ranging from $15,000 renovations to a $1.29 million commercial interior, with 7 more projects under construction as of today. Thirteen custom homes and eight new commercial buildings from the ground up. It has always been a family company. Now it's a family-run one.

Keeping It In The Family

Rebecca Joins
The Business.

Harber Built has always been built around faith, family, and a name John is willing to stand behind. His wife, Rebecca Harber, is stepping formally into the company alongside him.

Rebecca leads day-to-day operations — client communication, scheduling, and the quiet work of keeping a busy construction company responsive to the people depending on it. She's the second voice you'll hear from Harber Built, and she brings the same standard of care that has carried this company for seventeen years.

Nothing about the work changes. The estimates are still honest. The phone still gets answered. The Harbers just answer it together now.
